Take responsibility
1- Take responsibility and accept it.
First step is to own up to where you are right now. You know, it's not such a bad place to be anyway because this place, where you are right NOW, is the starting point of this wonderful journey.
This first step that you are taking is the FOUNDATION of all the wonderful things you are building for you and your child. With God's will, you are building a slimmer, happier and sexier YOU. And that's only one good thing about where you are right now----Think about it, YOU'RE PREGNANT! What an amazing miracle! :)
For this first step we will work on your mental attitude, belief, and ultimately your self-esteem and self-worth. These are the building blocks to which everything you want can be built. You need to take this step so don't skip it.

Believe It
2- Believe it or not, you get what you believe.
Understand that if you BELIEVE you cannot lose weight, then you WILL NOT lose weight
Have you ever heard of people giving up on something they wanted EVEN THOUGH they KNEW they were *capable* of having it? Many of them admit to these words: "I just didn't believe in myself." That's EXACTLY why they gave up which pretty much results the "failure."
You must admit to yourself the fact that your progress relies on your belief. Accept this right now! Because no matter what you do, if you don't put your entire faith in God and just trust in the process, while anticipating the results, you will not see what you desire.
Admit this to yourself, that you rely on the God, and trust in this process, at least on a conscious level.
"Repeat this out loud: I choose to take responsibility to change my life to the better Right Now, and I rest knowing that God will guide me every step of the way. All I have to do is trust in this process."
This leads us to the next mini step which is...

Affirmations
3--Affirmations--keep your internal self-dialogue fluent with empowering talk.
You know that you have thoughts in your head. You hear that voice, you're own voice, that tells you whether you can do something or not, and whether or not you deserve to have what you want. Believe it or not, your internal dialogue plays all day and all night. It also plays a huge part in what you do end up with in reality.
If your internal dialogue goes something like this:
"I am so worried that I'll gain more weight."
"What if I never get to lose weight... ever?"
"I don't think this is gonna work, but I gotta try."
"I can't lose weight no matter what I do."
"Losing weight is bad while pregnant."
...if you have any type of thought that does not make you *feel* good about losing weight, then you must immediately change this habit. Affirm to yourself every day for 10 minutes the believes you want to have within your self.

But the good news is that you can change your believe into the truth. Which is that we are worth it.
You might think this has nothing to do with weight gain or any kind of problem you have. Even if lets say your problem is acne, and you start affirming everyday that you have beautiful skin. And it is cured. But another problem will appear, until you resolve the real issue...which is self worth.
So start affirming to yourself everyday by calling your name then you say " I love and accept you exactly as you are". You do this while looking in the mirror and straight into your eyes.
This might be hard for some. Some will be hurt, and some might just be angry. The more you do it the more the feelings will disappear and the weight will melt off.
